Jewish Senior Life (JSL) is a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) located in New York that focuses in enhancing the quality of life of its elders. Through the help of their donors they are able to provide a community rich in cultural arts, spiritual enrichment, musical therapy, wellness programs, and much more. As a nationally-recognized leader in healthcare, their mission is to continuously deliver services so that their elders can live a meaningful life filled with dignity and purpose.
Digital wake provided a warm and inviting structure to the JSL Foundation’s website by combining vibrant patterns and photographic imagery. This also included typographic elements that were integrated along with the design to highlight the importance and meaning behind the Foundation. It was very important for JSL to have its viewers feel comfortable navigating their site, to address our client’s concern we organized the navigation in a manner that they can easily locate the overview, history, the impact of donations, and how to donate directly to the Foundation.
As part of this effort, our team performed a survey to determine why people choose to donate and what stops or prevents them from donating. People want to be certain that their money is being put to good use. Respondents said they were concerned with how much of the organization’s donations actually went to the programs or initiatives and how much went to overhead, administrative costs, or outside fundraising organizations. Since this was a top question mentioned by many responders, we identified this as a critical component to include on JSL foundation’s website.
Once the website launched, JSL was looking to create an explainer video for the Foundation that gave an overview of their purpose and services. Our team produced a video that stayed within Foundation’s style and message which would then also be included in the Foundation’s website. Digital Wake continues to provide JSL assistance in the area of design and technical support.
